every now and then, i get a client who completely makes melissa and i a part of their boudoir session. as soon as miss S arrived, i knew this would be one of those sessions. we were fast friends - we poured some mimosas and chatted while she got her makeup done by my favorite makeup artist, Tenya Du. the four of us exchanged stories about work, fashion, and relationships; and by the time the photo session began the nerves were gone and we got some amazing photographs. everytime i look at these photos, i wish i had her amazing hair. yes, she will say it's terrible to blow dry, but it might be worth the effort to look this gorgeous. for real... 

i got an email in december from an excited, ready to celebrate, wife. it was one of those "i would like to set up a boudoir photography session and thank.you.very.much" emails. which always gets me extra excited to photograph boudoir when the lady comes into the studio with so much enthusiasm.

miss m arrived with lots of variety for her outfits, and we picked out our favorites together before we started. my favorite look for boudoir photos will always, always, always be a tie. there is something perfect about the hint of a man in boudoir photographs, and the tie always reminds me the scene in pretty woman where julia roberts is waiting for her man in just a tie at the dining room table. so sexy!

black is always a great choice when it comes to boudoir photography lingerie. and corsets are FABULOUS for keeping everything exactly where it should be. loved this one - classy, lacey, and sexy.

this photo is from waaaaaaaay back at the beginning of the year but it always sticks out in my mind. i just love the red polka dot heels with red fishnets.

Ms J came into the houston studio for some boudoir photography for her husband for their anniversary - my favorite reason of all for boudoir!
