Last week I showed the first set from Miss S' gorgeous boudoir photos, and I said that they absolutely took my breathe away. 

When I first moved to Texas, she was the first girl I clicked with and we became fast friend. She has watched my business grow from nothing to what it is today, and she's been my #1 cheerleader along the way. We've shared our deepest secrets, fears, and dreams over one too many margheritas and I couldn't be more thankful to have such a strong support system in her. So when she got engaged to Shawn, I wanted to do something special that they'd both love! We started planning wardrobe, makeup, and came up with a plan to fool Shawn into thinking this was a normal girls night out. We dedicated an afternoon to her session with Melissa and I... complete with margheritas of course!

One of my most anticipated moments leading up to a boudoir photography session is seeing what my clients bring for wardrobe. They are sooooo creative and I absolutely adore the little personal items they bring along! Ms K took our pointers and ran with it for her boudoir session. From girlie, to sexy, to casual, she covered all the bases and Melissa did an amazing job capturing each side of her personality. 

Ms K's boyfriend will be working abroad in South Korea for the next 2 years, and she snuck a boudoir album into his suitcase as a surprise when he arrives overseas! Her sister suggested sneaking in a veil to drop a little hint, and we think he got the idea! ;)

Melissa photographed a classic bridal boudoir session for Ms K and we put together a FABULOUS album for her to give to her boyfriend, who will be working abroad for 2 years. I can't wait to share some of it with you next week!!! Here's a little sneak peek of the opening page!

Melissa and I photograph a lot of bridal boudoir, and I get questions all the time about what to wear for a bridal boudoir session. You don't want to make your entire photo portfolio filled with white lingerie of course, but soft colors are a natural choice. Then play it up from there - a birdcage veil, feather hairpieces, pearls, flashy jewelry.... and always, always, always stillettos!! :)

This set of vintage lingerie with pearls was a favorite of mine from Miss V's boudoir photography. It is such a perfect contrast to the traditional bright white bridal lingerie you so often see in the stores, and it's perfectly girlie and sweet. I just adore it!

This boudoir session is all about the WOW factor. Miss V came to me a *year* before her wedding date to get started on the gift she will give her hubby-to-be in January. We set up a three hour session, with Pam Green doing 2 looks for hair and makeup, and Melissa and I both photographing. Miss V brought a friend along, and the mimosas started flowing! :D

We had a blast! She brought about 15 outfits (accessories to match!) and we paired it down to our 10 favorites together. We did a sporty, a soft, a sultry, and a pinup look - some with dramatic lighting and some natural. The extra hour of shoot time allowed us to get a great variety of shots, and we're creating an over-the-top album to showcase her photos! This is one VERY lucky husband!!
